Sean Troyer, 22, Tragically Dies in UTV Accident in Blue Rock Township, OH
Sean Troyer, a 22-year-old from Sugarcreek, Ohio, tragically lost his life in a UTV crash on September 21, 2025, in Blue Rock Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred around 1:00 p.m. on Ridgeview Road.
According to investigators, Sean was operating a 2022 Polaris Ranger when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road, strike an embankment, and overturn. Sadly, Sean was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, whose name has not been released, suffered only minor injuries and was transported to Genesis Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have indicated that lack of seat belt usage may have contributed to the tragic incident. The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
